- Marriott Rewards has the right to end the Elite recognition program by providing advance written notice to members. Employees of Marriott International, Inc. and The Ritz-Carlton Company, L.L.C. and their subsidiaries are not eligible to participate.
- All Marriott Rewards terms and conditions as outlined in the current Guide to Marriott Rewards apply under Marriott Rewards Elite membership.
- Marriott Rewards Elite membership is an exclusive membership privilege of Marriott Rewards.
- Benefits are reserved for members only. As proof of eligibility, a membership number is required when making reservations.
- When using ExecuStay by Marriott, every 3 nights stayed will award members 1 night toward Elite status. Elite benefits are not available at these locations.
- When using Marriott Executive Apartments, every 3 nights stayed will award members 1 night toward Elite status. Elite benefits are not available at these locations.
- The awarding of Marriott Rewards Elite benefits is void where prohibited by law, and may vary outside the United States and Canada.
- Local policy may prevail over program standards at hotels, and some benefits may not be available at some locations.
- Marriott Rewards Elite membership may be revoked or suspended at Marriott's discretion if the member fails to pay any Marriott bills or accounts.
- In case of fraud or abuse involving Marriott Rewards Elite night accrual, Marriott Rewards will have the right to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action, including termination of membership.
- The following locations do not provide Elite member benefits: Renaissance Naruto Hotel, Renaissance Okinawa Resort.
- Participating locations outside the U.S. may provide alternative services and benefits to those listed in this brochure, depending on local law and policy.

Marriott Rewards Membership

Marriott Rewards and its travel partners have the right to change, limit or cancel program rules, regulations, rewards and reward levels at any time. This may include increasing levels or number of points required for a reward, changing rewards or points/miles earned, adding unlimited blackout dates, limiting rooms available for reward redemptions, changing participating hotels, eliminating any benefit or changing or canceling our travel partner rewards without notice. This may result in certain rewards not being available. Marriott has the right to end the Marriott Rewards program by providing written notice to members six months in advance. In that event, your right to earn points, miles and rewards can end six months after we notify you. This may limit or eliminate your ability to earn a reward, no matter the extent of your participation in the program. For complete terms and conditions, contact:

Elite Membership Requirements

- Only nights personally stayed and individually billed at participating hotels are credited toward Elite membership and renewal. Accounts may not be combined to achieve Elite membership.
- As of June 2, 2003, to achieve or renew Elite status, the following number of personal nights must be stayed between January 1 through December 31 of any given year at participating locations:

- Reward certificate stays do not count toward Elite membership.
- Hotel charges without a personal overnight stay will not earn room night credit toward Elite membership.
- Marriott Vacation Club International ownership stays do not count toward Elite membership.

Platinum and Gold Membership
- Hotels located in the United States will pay all Elite Benefits Guarantee compensation in US dollars. Hotels located in Canada will pay $100/$50/$25 CAD. International hotels will pay the equivalent of $100/$50/$25 USD in local currency.
- The maximum Elite Benefits Guarantee compensation paid to a Platinum or Gold member during a stay in the United States will be $100 USD, even if more than one Guaranteed benefit is not delivered to the member. The maximum Elite Benefits Guarantee compensation paid to a Platinum or Gold member during a stay in Canada will be $100 CAD, even if more than one Guaranteed benefit is not delivered to the member. The maximum Elite Benefits Guarantee compensation paid to a Platinum or Gold member during a stay outside the United States or Canada will be the equivalent of $100 USD paid in local currency, even if more than one Guaranteed benefit is not delivered to the member.
- If a member believes that compensation is due with respect to any aspect of the Elite Benefits Guarantee, he/she must request payment of the compensation while still a guest at the hotel, prior to checking out. Failure to request such payment prior to check out will result in a complete waiver of any right to receive such compensation.
- In order to qualify for the Guarantee, the member's Marriott Rewards number, Elite status, smoking and bed type preferences must be included with the reservation. Reservations made through meeting planners, travel agents, wholesalers or other third party sources must include this information in order to be included in the Guarantee.
- The Room Type Guarantee covers bed type preferences at Marriott Hotels, Resorts & Suites and Renaissance Hotels, Resorts & Suites and smoking/non-smoking preferences at Marriott Hotels, Resorts & Suites, Renaissance Hotels, Resorts & Suites, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites properties (pillow, room location, extra bed, crib requests, etc. are not included in the Guarantee). Exact bed sizes may vary at International hotels.
- The Room Type Guarantee does not cover room upgrades.
- A member who makes a reservation on the same day he/she plans to arrive at the hotel, or a member who walks in to a hotel without a reservation is not eligible to receive the Room Type Guarantee.
- Platinum members are eligible to receive the Room Type Guarantee at any Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suite, SpringHill Suites or TownePlace Suites property worldwide. Gold members are eligible to receive the Room Type Guarantee at any Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn or Suite, SpringHill Suite or TownePlace Suite property located in North America.
- Guaranteed Concierge/Executive Club Lounge* access applies to regular hours of operation at Marriott hotels, JW Marriott hotels and Renaissance hotels worldwide. For Marriott hotels, JW Marriott hotels or Renaissance hotels without a Concierge/Executive Club Lounge or if the Lounge is closed, the guest is entitled to receive a free Healthy Start Breakfast, Monday through Friday.
*Not available at resort locations.

- The Platinum Arrival Gift 500 bonus points option is available only to point earning Marriott Rewards Platinum members staying at participating Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Renaissance Hotels & Resorts worldwide. Members earning miles can not choose the 500 bonus points.
- As of June 2, 2003, the Platinum Arrival Gift 250 bonus points option is now available only to point earning Marriott Rewards Platinum members staying at Courtyard hotels located outside of North America.

- Guests accompanying Platinum or Gold members to a Marriott hotel are not eligible for the Elite Benefits Guarantee.
- The Guarantee applies to all stays, including Marriott Rewards redemption stays.
- Platinum and Gold members who do not receive their Elite Benefits Guarantee or Ultimate Reservation Guarantee in Russia, any other country subject to currency restrictions or any country prohibited by law to compensate the member in the form of a cash payment will be compensated with Marriott Rewards bonus points.
- If an Elite member has a confirmed reservation, but is walked from the hotel upon arrival, the property will pay the Ultimate Reservation Guarantee compensation in place today under the Marriott Rewards program Terms and Conditions. If a Platinum or Gold member receives Ultimate Reservation Guarantee compensation then he/she is not eligible to receive additional Elite Benefits Guarantee compensation.

Platinum Membership
- Guaranteed Platinum Arrival Gift: Complimentary refreshments delivered to your guestroom. Available at all participating Marriott hotel brands except Marriott Vacation Club International and Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club.
- 48-hour Guaranteed Availability: Limited to a Platinum member's personal guestroom. Guaranteed room availability for reservations booked 48 hours prior to arrival available at all participating Marriott hotel brands except Marriott Vacation Club International and Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club. Only during a very limited number of dates (for example, special events) are hotels unable to provide this service. This benefit cannot be used in conjunction with award usage or any type of promotional or discounted rates. At Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites, this benefit applies to studio rooms only.
Platinum and Gold Membership
- Free Local Phone/Fax: Free, unlimited local phone calls and free faxes, up to 15 pages per day, to any U.S. and Canada destination at participating U.S. and Canada Courtyard, SpringHill Suites, and Fairfield Inn locations.
- Guaranteed Concierge/Executive Club Lounge Access/Free Continental Breakfast*: Available to Platinum and Gold members at Marriott hotels, JW Marriott hotels and Renaissance hotels during normal hours of operations. For Marriott hotels, JW Marriott hotels and Renaissance hotels without a Concierge/Executive Club Lounge, enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast for your weekday stays, Monday - Friday. Show your membership card and room key in the hotel restaurant.

- Exclusive Offers: Receive exclusive Elite member offers sent to you throughout the year.
- Room Upgrade: Suites not included; upgraded accommodations at no additional charge. Based on room availability at check-in and limited to a member's personal guestroom. Not available at Marriott Vacation Club International or Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club.
- Guaranteed Room Type: Priority for your requested type of room (subject to availability at participating locations).
Platinum, Gold and Silver Membership
- Bonus on Marriott Rewards Points: Bonus points vary by Elite level (Silver, Gold or Platinum) and are calculated based on base Marriott Rewards points earned during a stay. Available at all participating Marriott hotel brands.
- Weekend Rate Discount: Receive a 10 percent discount on the regular rate for Friday and Saturday night stays at participating Courtyard by Marriott and SpringHill Suites by Marriott locations. Rates vary from hotel to hotel and these discounts are not valid with any other discount, on upgraded rooms at Courtyard by Marriott and may not be available during certain special events.
- Marriott Gift Shop Discount: 10% discount on items, excluding sundries, at participating Marriott operated Gift Shops (membership card required). Participating locations include: Marriott Hotels & Resorts; Renaissance Hotels & Resorts; and Marriott Conference Center locations.
- Check-cashing Privileges: As a registered guest, Elite members may cash personal checks once per day. The member must present a valid driver's license and Marriott Rewards membership card. Check-cashing limits vary by membership level and lodging brand (see below):

- Priority Late Checkout: Travel schedules can be unpredictable, so we offer you priority for late checkout. Simply call the front desk the morning of checkout and let them know your planned departure time. Priority Late Checkout is available at all Marriott hotels except Marriott Vacation Club International and Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club. Time limits vary by location.
- Elite Reservations Line: Exclusive reservations number available for Elite members: 1-800-228-2100.
- The Ultimate Reservation Guarantee: To be eligible, your Marriott Rewards membership number and a valid credit card number must be part of your reservation. If unable to honor reservation, the hotel will pay for your accommodations that night at a nearby comparable hotel and compensate the member for the inconvenience. Compensation varies by lodging brand (see below):
- At Marriott Hotels & Resorts; Renaissance Hotels & Resorts; Marriott Conference Centers; Marriott Vacation Club International; and Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club: Alternative accommodations, plus $200 and 2 free room certificates.
